Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, June 1, 2026 - Republic Bank is now accepting applications for the 2026/2027 intake of its Power to Make a Difference (PMAD) programme and is inviting registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs), educational institutions, and faith-based organisations to submit project proposals for funding consideration.
Republic Bank’s flagship corporate social responsibility programme supports projects that create lasting positive impact and drive meaningful social development within communities. Through the programme, Republic Bank partners with organisations that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and improve quality of life through sustainable development initiatives.
Applications are open to organisations whose programmes and initiatives align with one or more of the four pillars of the PMAD programme, as well as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These pillars are: The Power to Care, which promotes healthcare, elderly care, and support for differently abled persons; The Power to Help, which focuses on combating poverty, social marginalisation, and supporting at-risk youth; The Power to Learn, which enhances education, arts, literacy, and youth development; and The Power to Succeed, which champions environmental preservation, entrepreneurship, and sports.
Priority areas include educational and literacy programmes, youth development through sport, cultural and arts-based initiatives, entrepreneurial development, environmental protection, sustainability programmes that enhance quality of life, and initiatives that reduce gender bias, promote equality, and foster inclusion across all backgrounds.
Manager, Group Brand Management at Republic Bank, Reena Gopaul shared "At Republic Bank, we understand that the true fabric of our organization is woven from the trust of our community and our unwavering commitment to serve every stakeholder with integrity. Social investment isn't an addition to our core business; it is the compass that guides how we do business. We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to sustainable social change, not just through monetary investment but through the consistent volunteerism efforts of our 3,000-plus team members. Looking ahead, we look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in our nation."
The application period opens on Monday, June 1, 2026, and closes on Friday, July 10, 2026. All applications must be submitted through the online portal available on Republic Bank’s website. Interested organisations are encouraged to review the programme criteria, eligibility requirements, and application guidelines before submitting their proposals. Applicants should also prepare supporting documentation and a detailed project budget in advance of completing the online application form.
Through PMAD, Republic Bank continues to invest in projects and programmes that foster sustainable development and positively transform the lives of individuals and communities throughout the region.
