Port of Spain, Trinidad, July 30, 2025:On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Republic Bank sponsored Hope Disguised: Word, Sound and Youth Power, a radio broadcast organised by the We Say Y.E.S. Organisation. This dynamic event took place at the National Library in Port of Spain and showcased the talents and creativity of the nation’s youth, empowering them to express their voices and inspire change within their communities.

The unique production, creatively staged as a live radio broadcast, provided an immersive platform for youth to demonstrate their skills. A highlight of the evening was the engagement with special guest speakers, including Kyle Hernandez, Creative Strategist, and Dominic Kalipersad, award-winning journalist. These masters of media and communication captivated the young audience, who eagerly seized the opportunity to interview them, gaining invaluable insights and inspiration.

Republic Bank's segment was seamlessly woven into the show as a "sponsored radio ad break," where the enthusiastic young performers introduced the Bank as a key sponsor before Sasha Ramoutar, Republic Bank’s Project Execution Manager, highlighted the remarkable talents demonstrated by the young participants, noting the significant impact of their involvement.

This collaboration with the We Say Y.E.S organisation aligns with the bank’s commitment to youth empowerment as part of its Power to Make A Difference programme. Ramoutar stated, “By nurturing the potential within each child, Republic Bank is helping to cultivate a generation of confident, capable, and creative individuals, all ready to make their mark on the world.”

The evening culminated with a very special prize distribution ceremony, where young participants received schoolbook gift vouchers, a gesture aimed at further supporting their educational journeys and celebrating their achievements.

The We Say Y.E.S. (Youth Empowerment Support) Organisation focuses on uplifting at-risk youth from marginalized and disadvantaged communities across Trinidad and Tobago. These young individuals often face considerable challenges, including limited access to opportunities, financial instability, and challenging home environments. Through structured educational sessions, skills training, and mentorship, We Say Y.E.S. creates safe spaces for youth to develop, be seen, and supported in their journey to brighter futures.

Through its collaboration with Republic Bank, We Say Y.E.S. is fostering a new generation of young leaders by providing them with the tools, mentorship, and support they need, helping the youth step into their potential with confidence, purpose, and passion.
