Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, May 9, 2018: Between photo ops with teen heartthrobs, Avan Jogia and Dylan Sprayberry, to exciting attractions, such as Bmobile’s Zombie Island, the fifth edition of the Republic Bank Decibel Entertainment Festival proved to be hit last weekend, May 3-6 at Queen’s Hall, St. Ann’s.

Def 5 kicked off on May 3 with its annual conference, featuring keynote speakers in the entertainment industry, who not only entertained but inspired the secondary school students in attendance to follow their passion, wherever it may lie.

Patrons of the three-day expo enjoyed a number of activities, including the newly introduced arts exhibition village; a cosplay workshop with cosplayer, Stella Chu; and the event staple, Magic Nights, featuring Kess the Illusionist. Guests were also entertained by local singing sensations, Christian Kalpee, Jimmy October and Abdiel, with an accompanying DJ set by DJ Watty.

Speaking at the event’s media launch on March 27, Simon Baptiste, CEO of Question Mark Entertainment, not only confirmed that the Republic Bank Decibel Entertainment Festival is here to stay but next year’s edition will be moving to a new date, during the July to August vacation. As the event’s title sponsor, Republic Bank is honoured to have partnered with Question Mark Entertainment to produce another unforgettable experience for teens and has pledged it commitment to support and nurture the needs of the nation’s youth in efforts to help them generate remarkable success in their respective chosen career fields.
